The 34th Annual Prescott YMCA Whiskey Row Marathon falls on Cinco de Mayo this year, which means that in addition to running a challenging marathon, half marathon, 10K or 2 miles, you can also enjoy festivities downtown after you cross the finish line.
“We welcome first time racers, elite runners, walkers, joggers, kids, weekend warriors, “woggers”, race walkers, and moms and dads with strollers”.

Whiskey Row Marathon T-shirt Design Contest
The Prescott YMCA is looking for creative artists to submit their t-shirt designs for the 34th Annual Whiskey Row Marathon scheduled for May 5, 2012. The winner will have their artwork printed on over 1500 t-shirts, posters, sweatshirts, etc. This contest is open to anyone that wishes to participate. Deadline for submissions is 03/09/12.

Help Us Raise Money for the Prescott YMCA
For 2012, the Whiskey Row Marathon is reaching out to the entire running community in an effort to raise awareness and money for Prescott YMCA. This year we're making it easier than ever to let all of our runners, volunteers and supporters get involved.
The Whiskey Row Marathon has partnered with Crowdrise to encourage all participants to unite and fundraise for the Prescott YMCA. Just imagine the impact the entire community can have when harnessed to give back in a fun and compelling way!

Why is this Race so Important?
The Prescott YMCA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit, community-focused organization. The Whiskey Row Marathon is our largest fund raiser for program scholarships which help families in our community.
Proceeds from this race go directly into the scholarship fund at the Prescott YMCA to assist children and families in financial need to participate in child care, swimming lessons, youth sports and gymnastics classes.
Without your participation and the community support for the WRM Races, our local families in need may not have a chance to make sure that their children flourish, even in times of economic hardship.
At the Y we do not turn participants away for the inability to pay for our programs and we believe that all children have the equal right to learn water safety, Early Learning Objectives, character values and have opportunities for success in the intramural athletics.
Your participation in this race not only promotes your personal health, but also promotes the overall health of the Prescott Community.
To make an even bigger difference to the community, 10k runners are encouraged to find 10 friends to pledge $10 for each kilometer they run or walk. With the help 10 friends, you can raise $1,000 for our community – and help Prescott-area children and their families enjoy the great programs available at the Prescott YMCA*.
